i was just having another trawl round Lj and this community presented itself to me.

hullo, i'm naidel...

right, well, since there seems to be only two other people in this place i won't bother with a whole spiel of randomage (tempting as that is), but i will pose a question: which god or godess (from either the roman or greek pantheons) do you like best? it's a basic question, but it's gonna be asked sooner or later. oh and while we're at it, why?

so..um..yeah. (wow, that was articulate)

I would probably have to say Mars. First he was a god a spring and the protector of cattle. Then, as Rome started to expand their territory, he became the god of war.

Leto... She screws up royally by having an affair with Zeus but we've all had little lapses in judgement here and there. Why should goddesses be any different? And her adventures wandering the earth make for a good story or two.

Hey, I know you posted this awhileago, but I'm new and I thought I would comment anyway.
I love the greek goddess Artemis, because she was all about asserting women's independence from men and women's strength in an era when woman were little more than well-kept slaves.
